This may not mean much to people here but IT'S FINALLY HERE!

This is a limited edition (only 100 made) Alphadrome Strenco ST-1 tin robot. It was made by Volker Strauss (who now owns the Strenco company) exclusively for Alphadrome board members. This is a special reproduction of the first toy robot ever made in Germany back in 1955. The robot comes in a silver tin with "Strenco" embossed on the lid. He's a wind up that shoots sparks out of the hole in his chest.

Volker made these to coincide with his limited release of 2004 "gold" editions ST-1s available to the public.

You can see he's number 73 of 100.

    Meeting the other bots.

"ST-1's nipples are primed and ready to fire!"

He's pretty nice! Something about him seems a little different than the usual classy retrobots. I wanna say that he has shades of Darth Maul but after seeing that previous thread I'm not gonna insult this much cooler looking toy.

Thanks CM! I don't know if it's obvious or not but there is a lack of "metal tabs" that normally hold vintage robots together.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Maybe that's it...and he does seem more simpler. And he has a sort've antiquated classiness to him, less like a toy, ya know? I mean the usual robots have bold flat colors, less chrome, more graphics, etc.
